One thing that cannot be denied that many manufacturers consider the country to be an important market.
The companies are constantly trying to come up with new and exciting motorcycles to capture this market. Of course, KTM was an early entry into this game. It is no hidden fact that KTM quickly rose up to became one of the most famous and sought after motorcycling brand in India.
With the Duke 250, Adventure 390 and many more, KTM is a manufacturer that completely understands its audience and has come out with a new variant for a new customer base.
The second in their Adventure series, KTM launched the Adventure 250 which is being lauded as an entry-level adventure motorcycle to attract the current trend of motorcycling and touring in the country, which is at an all-time high right now.
With this, KTM hopes to capture the entry to mid-level motorcyclists and also their loyal fanbase.
For all the fans of touring bikes and especially KTM, we have all the compiled KTM 250 Adventure Specifications that will surely draw your interest in this new bike.
Here are KTM 250 Adventure Specifications
Comparisons To KTM’s Previous Offerings
The KTM 250 Adventure has the same engine as the Duke 250 and looks very, very similar to its elder sibling, the Adventure 390. Of course, since this is an entry-level bike, it does not have the quick-shifter, the traction control system and the cornering ABS that the 390 does.
The one thing that the ADV 250 does have is the new LCD instrument display which has the fans excited and intrigued.
The Engine
Just like the older version of the Duke 250, the new KTM 250 comes with LED DRLs on its halogen headlights and the same 250cc single-cylinder engine. This makes it the fourth motorcycle from KTM to use a 250cc engine, after the Duke 250, Vitpilen 250 and the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
The Colour
Speaking of the colour scheme, there have been no plans to change the already famous and recognizable colours of the brand. The KTM 250 also in the same vein then, comes in the classic orange variant and an exciting and slick black variant.
Pricing
Also with the Adventure 250, KTM is rivalling the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the BMW G 310 GS so it'll be interesting to see which one takes the cake in the Indian market. As for pricing, the KTM ADV 250 is priced at Rs. 2.48 lakhs (ex-showroom), making it a whopping Rs. 50000 cheaper than the ADV 390.
Mileage: If certain sites have to believe, the new KTM 250 Adventure is expected to give a mileage of 30.8 km/l. Not bad I say for a bike that is 250cc.
Top Speed: Well, it is expected that the top speed for KTM 250 will be around 140km/hr
Seat Height: 1263 mm
Weight: 156 kg
Ground Clearance: 200 mm
After all of this is taken into KTM 250 Adventure Specifications, one huge drawback that the fans of KTM have pointed out that this creates an internal competition between the Adventure 390 and the Adventure 250 where one focuses on high performance, the other one focuses on affordability. At the end of the day, both the motorcycles may survive since there is a high demand in the country, only time will tell.
Needless to say, for all your motorcycling and touring needs, visit the ADV Tribe store and you can get all the accessories you need to have a smooth time on the road.
